Flying in the sky - paraplane adventure

I went flying in a paraplane the other day! See video proof below! I never even knew a thing like that existed. It's basically looks like a flying motor driven "bike" with a parachute. Thanks to pilot Michael Haygood, (a.k.a Mr shortbus driver) for the experience! Alternative transportation seems to be the theme for this week.

As you can see, I was very calm and trusting....

Pub crawl in a shortbus

Went for a pub crawl with good friends last weekend. What better way is there to get around Branson town than in a SHORTBUS? Our dear Michael Haygood definitely drives the sweetest ride in town.

I've posted the cream flavored one before but apparently the producers didn't think they took it far enough. "Cake", "Orange Whipped", "Chocolate Whipped" and "Cotton Candy" are the new classy flavors. Targeting 12-year olds maybe...? Oh, and it's "distilled with the spring water from the northern region of France". That's why they're calling it French vodka. Seems pretty American to me...

Freaky Foods part 41

I had the pleasure to visit Hawaii a little while ago. Even though it's officially a part of the US, there are a lot of differences in culture, mentality, environment etc. BUT. When it comes to food, it's just as freaky... Have a look at these little babies....

First of all, this is a dessert at the Tiki Bar in Waikiki: Peanut Butter & Jelly Taro Bread Pudding with Tempura crisped bacon on top! Peanutbutter. Jelly. Bread pudding. Sprinkled meat? Who came up with that and what did they smoke while doing it?!

Second of all. The huge food phenomenon SPAM. Canned ham seems to be sacred in Hawaii and from what I've seen, Hawaiians are obsessed with SPAM! They use it in EVERYTHING. Sushi, stews, soups, sandwiches, snacks etc. Even Burger King and Mc Donald's offer SPAM in their restaurants...
