Walking in Memphis!

Went on a weekend trip to Memphis last week! Hung out at Elvis' place, sang in Johnny Cash's microphone at famous "Sun Studios", listened to street musicians on Beale Street and had a good time. Such a dirty, messy and rowdy but still kind of charming city. Fun "last adventure" on my US stay this time around. Back in Sweden now, hoping that fall will give winter a good fight before it gives up to snow and freezing temperatures. See you soon Americanos!

Freaky Foods part 40

This thing tastes pretty good but it sure has a weird structure. Feels like eating a fruity piece of plastic that turns into taffy when you chew it.

The tropical tie die flavor. Looks like a used towel for little magic mushroom hallucinating elves...

I'll admit that I don't always try all the freaky foods that I find in the US. I would probably not fit in my bed if I did. This time I've tried it though! Just had an Andy's frozen custard carrot cake concrete!

It's basically a cup of really thick frozen custard with a big piece of carrot cake (with frosting and everything) shoved into it. It was actually pretty delicious. At least the first three bites (which was how long it took to get me full on it.....) I feel like I never have to eat again. And I got the SMALL size.

Feel the urge to get drunk on whipped cream? Now you can. Whipped cream vodka. Yay...

If you're not in party mode you can always go for the old classic "Cream Soda". Tastes like drinking really sweet, thin, carbonated cream.... Yum?

True hillbilly style party with the Haygood's by the lake the other day. They're shooting a TV reality show at the moment and had a lot of crazy stuff going on! Band playing, people swinging off fork trucks (!) into the water and so on..... Funfunfun! Check out the pics and videos!

Summer in Sweden!

I've left the country Americanos! At the moment, I'm in Sweden working for a little while before I'll go back again. I had some great last weeks in the US before I left. Eureka Springs, photoshoot, gig with Full Circle Concept + good times with friends. I even had time to a arrange a big Swedish dessert party. High quality fun.

Wow... DEEP FRIED chocolate covered strawberries.... AND deep fried CANDY BARS. On top of that, why not have a footlong corn dog..... Took this picture at the Plumb Nellie Arts and Crafts festival. I wonder how many heart attacks this resulted in....

To make your chips a little more unhealthy you can always add some dip. The Americans are apparently not completely satisfied with that solution so therefore they created the "FIVE Layer Dip"! No risk of feeling healthy at all after eating that..... Congratulations Americanos, you can breathe out.

SUPLEX!

This town is mainly known for being a senior friendly Las Vegas and most events are targeting the 60+ age group... BUT, lately there are actually people trying to create entertainment for the younger generation crowd. Our friends at SUPLEX describe their concept:

"Suplex is an experience. It's a once a month event (first Saturday of every month) held in Branson,MO designed to break the mold, and assault your senses. It's an art show and a dance party. It's a sweaty beast. The show is hosted by Kolmega of Rock Room fame & djs Johan & Francis Rizzudo of Black Box Revue & Make Out!. SUPLEX is an exercise in over stimulation. SUPLEX HAS TRICKS UP IT'S SLEEVE."

And they sure did a great job last Saturday with the tribal theme party! Keep it up!

I like beer. I like cheese. But the combination got me a little confused... For once, I actually tried this "freaky food". It's "Beer and Cheese Soup" and can be found at the local pub. It wasn't bad. But it wasn't that good.

Found this at the Supermarket. Same theme. Didn't try this though.....
