Summer in Sweden!

I've left the country Americanos! At the moment, I'm in Sweden working for a little while before I'll go back again. I had some great last weeks in the US before I left. Eureka Springs, photoshoot, gig with Full Circle Concept + good times with friends. I even had time to a arrange a big Swedish dessert party. High quality fun.

Eureka Springs again

I took another visit to Eureka Springs the other day. The atmosphere there compared to Branson is just so different. It's really nice to get a break from the crazy theater neon signs and the streets where you can't walk anywhere. In Eureka Springs you can walk for sure. Anders and I ended up in some sort of mountain climb, walking up a hill. Some of the streets in ES are really steep! We saw a bunch of odd and interesting houses on the way. A lot of them are owned by local artists that make the most of their backyard when it comes to exposing their artwork.... It almost feels like walking around in a (really steep) art gallery!

Igår var det dags för äventyr minsann! Jag och grannfröken Parkman satte sikte på den lilla staden Eureka Springs som ligger ungefär en timme ifrån Branson.

Wikipedia berättar: "The town is a popular destination for artists, motorcyclists, ufologists, poets, gay men and lesbians, and sculptors from around the world". Det var dock inte speciellt mycket folk i stan överhuvudtaget när vi äntligen hade hittat dit. Nästan lite spökstad över det hela med en underlig men trevlig och konstnärlig atmosfär. Kändes lite som en bergsby i Schweiz blandat med Haight Ashbury i San Francisco. Lite sköna locals hjälpte oss att hitta till huvudgatan där det var lite livligare stämning med livemusik och små butiker som kantade dess branta backar.

Hittade äntligen ett ställe där de kunde göra vettigt kaffe! Jim på "Eureka Daily Roast" kunde till och med göra mönster i latten! Heja! Det är definitivt ingen vanlig syn i den här delen av staterna. Många rör om med sked för att blanda espresson och mjölken istället för att hälla ordentligt. Skäms! Baristagudarna gråter.
